Hours: 35 hours per week

Pur­pose of the post:
To lead and man­age the insight, data and learn­ing func­tion for the VCS Alliance; to ensure its work, and that of its deliv­ery part­ners, is found­ed on good insight and that the impact of learn­ing from all our work is clear­ly under­stood by a wide range of audi­ences across the Brad­ford Dis­trict and Craven Health and Care Part­ner­ship system.

Appli­ca­tion process:
Stage 1: Appli­ca­tion
Your appli­ca­tion should con­sist of:

  • An up-to-date CV
  • A cov­er­ing let­ter (max­i­mum of 2 sides) or a short video (max­i­mum of 3 minutes)

Stage 2: Eli­gi­bil­i­ty and short­list­ing
Your appli­ca­tion will be assessed om rela­tion to the job descrip­tion and per­son­al spec­i­fi­ca­tion; if you are unsuc­cess­ful you will be con­tact­ed by email, and we will pro­vide feed­back should you wish.
Stage 3: Inter­view
If you are suc­cess­ful at stage 2 you will be invit­ed for inter­view, this will be face to face and the venue will be con­firmed in your inter­view invi­ta­tion.
Stage 4: Con­di­tion­al Offer and Pre-employ­ment checks
If you are suc­cess­ful at inter­view you will be sent a con­di­tion­al offer of employ­ment, along with infor­ma­tion about the next steps. A final offer of employ­ment is con­di­tion­al upon sat­is­fac­to­ry re-employ­ment checks, includ­ing a DBS check and ref­er­ences.
Stage 5: Final offer of Role:
Upon com­ple­tion of the above you will receive your for­mal offer of employment.

strength­en us as an organ­i­sa­tion and help us to rep­re­sent and work with and on behalf of our sec­tor mem­bers and deliv­ery providers. 

At the VCS Alliance we are a key part of the Health and Care sys­tem across Brad­ford and Craven. We cre­ate oppor­tu­ni­ties for the Vol­un­tary and Com­mu­ni­ty Sec­tor (VCS) to co design inno­v­a­tive health cre­ation solu­tions for indi­vid­u­als and communities.

  • A char­i­ty which works across Brad­ford and Craven dis­tricts deliv­er­ing trans­for­ma­tion­al change to the health and care system.
  • A fast grow­ing and inno­v­a­tive organisation.
  • Our role includes cre­at­ing, co-design­ing, and co-deliv­er­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties for the VCS sec­tor to engage with the health and care sys­tem cre­at­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties to keep peo­ple hap­py and healthy at home.
  • Inform them­selves about the oper­a­tional sec­tors with­in which the BVCSA oper­ates, i.e., health
  • Attend 75% of trustee meet­ings (approx every 4–8 weeks).
  • Ensure the BVCSA is com­pli­ant with its objec­tives as defined in the arti­cles of asso­ci­a­tion.
    Be an active mem­ber in our Finance or Per­for­mance and Con­tract­ing Com­mit­tees.
    Join us on our away day every year and com­mit around 50 hours per year in total.
  • Induc­tion, train­ing, and ongo­ing support.
  • Reim­burse­ment of expenses.
  • The chance to sup­port a bril­liant organ­i­sa­tion deliv­er­ing invalu­able work an inter­est­ing time of change and transition.
  • The oppor­tu­ni­ty to improve the health and well­be­ing of some of the most mar­gin­alised peo­ple in our communities.
  • Oppor­tu­ni­ties for per­son­al development.
  • The oppor­tu­ni­ty to be cen­tral to the devel­op­ment of new and inno­v­a­tive approach­es to cross-sec­tor part­ner­ship working.
